Giving and receiving massages with friends and loved ones has numerous positive effects. Beyond helping with muscle aches and pains and relieving anxiety and tension, massage has been scientifically proven to decrease cortisol levels, increase dopamine and serotonin (our happy, feel-good hormones), and increase beta-endorphin levels, which is linked with pain relief and feelings of warmth and well-being.

Massage with a loved one facilitates bonding and connection.

Full body self oil massage is also very therapeutic.  It has many of the same effects of receiving a massage from someone else, and can help to powerfully connect you to yourself and your body.

Our Dragontree Massage Oil was specifically formulated by Ayurvedic Specialist, Briana Borten, to be appropriate for all constitutions.  In Ayurveda, oil is a highly regarded healing agent.  In fact the word "sneha" in hindi means both “love” and “oil".  Having liberal amounts oil applied to the skin is seen as an act of love and caring.

The base oil in our blend is safflower oil.  We use this oil of a lovely orangey-red flower the most because it is balanced oil, it’s virtually scentless, it feels very clean, and is readily absorbed by the skin.  We add vitamin E to promote healing of the skin, and as a natural anti-oxidant, it preserves the oil.

Love the Love Massage Oil

I love this oil as part of my weekly self care routine. I use it as a massage oil (Brianna’s self massage video is great!) and sometimes I’ll add it to Himalayan Salt to make a scrub and massage/exfoliate before sinking into a hot bath. That makes for a wonderfully soothing experience.

Love Massage Oil

I like the aroma, light but there, not overpowering . This oil doesn’t have the slip I’m used to. I found that to be a good thing, I slowed down my strokes and engaged the part of the body I was working. I’m a massage therapist so the change was fun.

I really enjoy the massage

I really enjoy the massage oil. The scent is deep and rich yet not overpowering. My only concern is with the packaging. It came in a bubble envelope and the bottle had opened during shipping. It got all over and was quite a mess. I would recommend shipping in a box.
